You will play a critical role in developing and implementing effective fundraising strategies to support our diverse range of programmes. You will have a passion for environmental conservation and a proven track record in fundraising.

What will you be doing?

Conservation Without Borders is a dedicated charity committed to supporting conservation efforts through the eyes of migratory animals, and developing innovative tools and solutions. We strive to build bridges between conservation efforts, communities, and companies, fostering sustainable and effective partnerships that make a real difference. 

CWB has developed a series of exciting programmes covering expeditions, education, and an innovative conservation centre known as 'MI5/6 for Nature'. Our organisation is renowned for hosting engaging corporate events that bring biodiversity and conservation to life. We are now seeking assistance to connect with various funders to support our impactful initiatives. 

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Fundraising Strategist to join our team. This volunteer will play a critical role in developing and implementing effective fundraising strategies to support our diverse range of programmes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for environmental conservation and a proven track record in fundraising. Whilst we are regrowing the charities financial resources, we plan to create a paid fundraising role if this role is a success and as soon as we are in a position to do so. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and help execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to get projects off the ground. 
  • Help ensure our engaging events also lead to partnerships and donations,  
  • Collaborate on a long term event and lead generation strategy 
  • Identify and engage potential donors, sponsors, and partners. 
  • Help us create compelling fundraising campaigns and appeals. 
  • Manage and update donor databases and tracking system. 
  • Prepare reports on fundraising activities and progress. 
  • Collaborate with the team to promote fundraising initiatives through various channels. 
  • Manage volunteer grant writers 
  • Organise and participate in fundraising events and activities. 
  • Research and help us apply for grants from corporations, and government entities. 

What are we looking for?

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in fundraising, development, or a related field. 
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing fundraising strategies. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive proposals and appeals. 
  • Strong organisational and project management skills. 
  • Ability to analyse data and generate insights to improve fundraising performance. 
  • Familiarity with donor management software and fundraising platforms. 
  • Experience in grant writing and reporting is a plus. 
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. 
  • Passionate about conservation and environmental issues. 


  • Must have own laptop and reliable internet connection. 
  • Ability to work from home and commit to a flexible schedule. 
  • Availability for occasional virtual meetings and event
