What we do
Citizens Advice provides advice and information to millions of people. People rely on us because we're independent and totally impartial and our service is free to all.
Through our dedicated staff and volunteers a wide range of advice and information services are provided to individuals enabling them to exercise their legal rights, resolve debt issues, secure benefit entitlement and sustain their accommodation.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities of the Fundraising & Media Trustee
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualities and attributes:
Skilled communicator, confident in the use of verbal, written and digital media.

The successful candidate will join a small but impactful charitable team making a real difference to individuals within our community in need of help, who every they are and whatever their issue.
Key areas of focus in assisting over 5,000 people annually are:
Debt and benefit advice: Helping nearly 2,500 clients specifically with debt and benefit advice with a value of just over £5 million.
Household Support Fund: Delivering £265,700 of government funding across the borough via over 2,800 small grants.
Housing related issues: Supporting over 800 people with housing problems, preventing evictions, and helping with tenancy and maintenance issues.
Health, wellbeing & independence: Supporting 448 clients to access the right advice and communitysupport, 255 clients to address issues that impact their ability to live independently, and 369 clients complete complex disability forms and appeal
Emergency support and food banks: 947 individuals accessingemergency food provision, providing 118 emergency charitable grants, and giving 39 SIM cards.
