What will you be doing?

Your Role:  

Global Giving is the main resource for funding for our charity, over the past 4-5 years we have seen a steady decline in donations as this resource has been managed by Junior staff. This is a new more strategic role for an experienced online fundraiser to review and build a new long term strategy for this critical funding resource. We need someone with professional standards to build relationships with senior members from Global Giving both in the UK and USA and someone with experience to review and create a new fundraising strategy focused on the main platform, this will require working with other departments and staff, heading up project management, providing training and being responsible for ensuring deadlines and KPI's are met. 

Action Change currently brings in around £160,000 a calendar year on the Global Giving Platform, your role will also be to ensure we remain a “super star” status on the platform by taking part in all their campaigns, uploading quarterly reports for all 80+ projects, thanking donors for their donation and trying to convert once off donations into monthly. You will also send out weekly email appeals that will drive additional donations. You will be responsible for tracking, monitoring and reporting back to the wider team on the performance of global giving and reaching your monthly and annual target. This platform is american however donations come in from UK, Europe and USA as well as around the world. You will also be responsible for adding new projects and promoting these to the network. 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Ensure we rank in the top 100 partners daily 
  • Take online training and development on the platform 
  • Ensure all reports are uploaded by the deadlines 
  • Send our an email appeal (1 a week) 
  • Daily Thank You messages to donors 
  • Attend training/ briefing all all Global Giving Campaigns and coordinate with the Action Change team to promote campaigns 
  • Ensure all projects are up to date and improve text and images across the platform

Your KPI’s

  • Ensure we take over £4,000 a month on the platform minimum (monthly targets are set based on YOY comparisons with small increases) 
  • Ensure we raise £160,000 in 12 months on the platform 

What are we looking for?

This is a new more strategic role for an experienced online fundraiser to review and build a new long term strategy for this critical funding resource.

We are looking for someone that has the ability and drive to self direct work and show initiative in getting things done to help our charity to survive and grow. 

The majority of people working with Action Change are professional volunteers and part time interns. We believe it is important to work together as a team to help each other grow at the same time as supporting our projects around the world. We seek individuals that are willing to get involved with tasks and at the same time share their knowledge and experience to help develop Action Change. 

Each role at Action Change has KPI's and many hold a financial goal to allow ownership of tasks and you will be given fall control of the strategy to reach your targets, as a team we are also here to support each other to ensure everyone get's to personally develop at the same time.
