We’re looking for a fundraising leader / Director -  someone who will lead our fundraising efforts by fundraising and co-ordinating our small team of passionate community minded people with a view to becoming a Director

What will you be doing?

A fundraising lead / Director volunteer would enable us to co-ordinate our fundraising efforts, whilst also raising funds. You will be responsible for leading our Fundraising Strategy. We are looking for someone local or willing to travel to quarterly face to face meetings, so that you will be able to see the projects first hand and see how we're able to grow the number of projects across our various communities.

This role includes:

  • Building new relationships with local organisations and companies to increase our fundraising options
  • Sourcing new funding opportunities
  • Strategise and drive forward new fundraising ideas
  • Working closely with the volunteer team to match new projects with funding
  • Communicating with funders and volunteers to update them on funding use and value

What are we looking for?

  • Excellent communicator skills - you’re able to communicate with people at all levels (verbal and written)
  • Experience of fundraising
  • Exceptional co-ordinating skills
  • Experience in leading and driving projects

What difference will you make?

Our project aims to support and bring about positive changes in the lives of adults living with loneliness, unemployment or who are socially excluded through mental illness, learning difficulties or deprivation.

The additional funds will enable these people to positively contribute towards the local community, whilst feeding themselves and supplying food to the local food banks. Our aim is to make this a widespread movement across Hertfordshire, and bring communities together, whilst supplying naturally grown foods to the community, thereby providing communities with scalable resilience.

We develop our horticulture and floristry projects and our work with vulnerable and lonely adults in our community.  This role is ideal for someone who wants to learn more about horticulture and community projects and has fundraising experience.

Before you apply

Once your application has been received via reach, we will invite the successful candidates for a video call interview before a face to face meeting.
