You will play a key part in developing and executing fundraising strategies, securing sponsorships, and driving the charity’s growth. 

What will you be doing?

Kathryn’s Cause is seeking a Fundraising & Business Development Specialist to join our board of trustees. In this voluntary position, you will lead the charge in developing and implementing fundraising strategies to support our mission of raising awareness for brain hemorrhages and supporting affected families. Your expertise will be crucial in helping us build strong partnerships, secure sponsorships, and expand our revenue streams to ensure the charity’s long-term sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies to attract donations, secure grants, and establish corporate sponsorships.
  • Cultivate relationships with donors, sponsors, and key stakeholders to foster long-term support.
  • Organize and manage fundraising events to raise money and awareness for the charity’s cause.
  • Identify new business development opportunities, including potential partnerships and revenue streams.
  • Advise the board on effective marketing and communications strategies to engage and inspire potential supporters.
  • Support the charity in achieving its goals by driving growth and expanding its impact through innovative fundraising initiatives.

What are we looking for?

  • Fundraising Expertise – Proven experience in creating and executing fundraising strategies, securing corporate sponsorships, and applying for grants.
  • Business Development Experience – Ability to identify and develop new opportunities for revenue generation, strategic partnerships, and long-term growth.
  • Event Management – Experience in organizing and leading fundraising events, from planning to execution, with a focus on maximizing engagement and donations.
  • Marketing & Communications – Strong skills in creating marketing strategies and communications to effectively engage potential donors and supporters.
  • Networking & Relationship-Building – Expertise in cultivating relationships with key stakeholders, including individual donors, corporate partners, and community organizations.
