We are currently looking for support with reaching our fundraising targets from a volunteer with fundraising and marketing expertise who is passionate about food and young people.

What will you be doing?

We are a charity with a difference. We believe that delicious food prepared from scratch and eaten together communally can help young people lead happier, healthier lives. We require support to reach a broader audience with our offering.

If you're passionate about improving the wellbeing and life-chances of disadvantaged young people, this could be a great opportunity to contribute to a small charity in the process of growing and assist us as we reach a larger number of young people in and around London.

In our current financial climate, we find ourselves relying on successfully participating in funding bids and tenders in order to fund the projects we wish to deliver. As we are a small team, support in all manners of fundraising is crucial. We would like to work with a volunteer who is able to support us on an ongoing basis and able to volunteer a few hours per project when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential partners and amplifiers
  • Identify, map and respond to funding opportunities
  • Support the team to achieve successful outcomes with income generation opportunities, including contracts, funding applications, events and donors
  • Help to prepare and submit funding applications and tenders for new contracts in line with Eat Club’s strategy and mission to support the new partnerships where necessary
  • Support the chief executive with the promotion of a corporate offering package

Alongside the responsibilities outlined above there will opportunities for direct involvement with Eat Club’s cooking and supper club sessions.

What are we looking for?

  • Experienced at writing successful bids and proposals
  • Have an understanding of local government and the not for profit sector
  • Passionate about equal access to good food
  • Upbeat, motivated by difficult challenges, and tenacious in solving them
  • Organised, dedicated and conscientious, with fantastic attention to detail
  • Committed to communicating in a way that is compelling, clear, accurate and accessible
  • Share the values of Eat Club

What difference will you make?

We are a young charity with ambitious growth targets. We're seeking a person to  help us secure new funding, supporting us to increase our impact and reach further into the capital.

What's in it for the volunteer?

Eat Club is a small and dynamic organisation and as such this role represents a unique opportunity to significantly contribute to the progress of the organisation and the individuals it supports.
