Attention! Endometriosis South Coast seeks an enthusiastic and dedicated fundraising and events team member. 

What will you be doing?

The Fundraising and Events Team Member will play a vital role in planning, coordinating, and executing fundraising initiatives and community events. This person will collaborate with team members, partners, and stakeholders to ensure successful, engaging activities that align with our mission and generate financial support for our programs and services.

What are we looking for?

Key Responsibilities

  • Event Planning and Execution: Assist in the development and delivery of fundraising events, including virtual campaigns, workshops, and in-person gatherings.
  • Fundraising Strategy: Contribute to planning and implementing creative strategies to increase revenue through donations, sponsorships, grants, and partnerships.
  • Donor Relations: Build and maintain relationships with current and potential donors, sponsors, and community partners.
  • Volunteer Coordination: Recruit, train, and oversee event volunteers to ensure smooth operation and a positive experience for all involved.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and social media content to raise awareness of upcoming events and initiatives.
  • Logistics Management: Manage event logistics, including venue booking, vendor coordination, and equipment setup.
  • Budget Oversight: Assist in budget management, ensuring cost-effective solutions and transparent reporting.
  • Feedback and Improvement: Gather attendee feedback to refine and enhance future events and fundraising activities.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: Previous experience in event planning, fundraising, or community engagement is a plus but not required.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organization: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with a team while also being proactive and self-motivated.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to take on various roles and adjust to the dynamic nature of event management.
  • Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with social media platforms, email marketing tools, and virtual event software.
  • Commitment: Passionate about supporting those affected by endometriosis and enhancing community outreach.

The successful applicant will  play a crucial role in ensuring that Endometriosis South Coast is able to continue providing vital services to those in need. This could include organising fundraising drives, partnering with local businesses, and creating engaging social media content that inspires and motivates individuals to donate to the cause.

In addition, the event manager would be responsible for ensuring that events are inclusive and accessible to individuals living with Endometriosis and Adenomyosis. This could include providing accessible venues.
