Carrs Lane Counselling Centre is a Birmingham based charity providing low-cost counselling to those who cannot gain access to help due to cost or availability. We are looking for volunteer fundraisers to assist with the financing of this work.
Volunteer(s) will assist in the writing of bids to supportive Trust Funds under the direction of a Trustee of the Charity. The role requires liaison with a variety of Trustees who will provide the information needed to satisfactorily complete applications. In times such as these there is an increasing need for Mental Health Counselling and without adequate funding, the Charity will be unable to deliver counselling in the quantity needed to meet this demand. Volunteer fundraisers will be given the freedom to research potential new donors and develop relationships with these.
- Excellent Research Skills
- High standard of written English with the ability to produce concise and persuasive prose.
- Have knowledge of the charity sector and the issues that face small charities
- Experience of report writing and familiarity with end of grant reports to funders.
- Personal credibility and authority
- A professional and confident communicator, able to communicate effectively in person, by phone or in writing, to a range of audiences
By increasing our donor base and the revenue that this will bring, these roles are critical to the Charity. Each counselling session costs the Charity over £30 so every donation secured is of great value.
