Do you want to make a real difference in your local community? We are seeking a proactive and strategic Fundraiser Director to join our Board and lead the development of sustainable funding streams. 

What will you be doing?

This volunteer position is ideal for someone with fundraising experience who is passionate about supporting community transport and making a tangible impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a fundraising strategy to ensure financial sustainability.
  • Identify and apply for grants, sponsorships, and funding opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with donors, businesses, and funding bodies.
  • Organize and oversee fundraising campaigns and community events.
  • Work with the Board to ensure fundraising aligns with WOCT’s mission and goals.
  • Monitor fundraising performance and report progress to the Board

  • Experience in fundraising, grant writing, or business development.
  • Strong communication and networking skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and work collaboratively.
  • Passion for community support 
  • Drive and ambition to be part of the community and help our financial sustainability by diversification of our funding streams
  • Knowledge of the charity sector and funding landscape (desirable but not essential).
