What will you be doing?

As a Fundraiser,you will use your existing skills and develop new ones to raise funds to ensure the charity's running expenses are covered, you will draft and submit compelling bids on behalf of Disability Equals Ability, work closely with the Trustees and achieve significant and sustainable income.

  • You must enjoy networking and be comfortable discussing finances.
  • To identify and develop local funding opportunities, liaise with potential funders to assess their requirements and develop relationships, projects, and activities that lead to significant donations and increased awareness and profile of Disability Equals Ability.
  • Maintain a database of funding applications and outcomes.
  • Use online sources and local intelligence to research and build a database of national, regional and local funding opportunities. 

What are we looking for?

Knowledge of bid writing principles and bid processes

Track record of producing high-quality, winning bids 

Self-motivated and disciplined. Ability to manage own workload effectively

Highly attentive to detail with the ability to analyse and proofread documents effectively

Ability to use own initiative

Cultivating a genuine interest in the mission of Disability Equals Ability and a heartfelt passion for championing and empowering individuals with disabilities and neurodiversity
