Welcome to Reach Volunteering. We are a community and registered charity that connects people, skills and good causes.

To apply for this role, and any other on our platform, you need to be based in the UK, have at least three years of experience using the skills you wish to volunteer in a professional capacity or have lived experience (for trustee roles). Read more about our criteria.

Join an innovative organisation tackling refugee homelessness and support the growth and management of our volunteer team.

What will you be doing?

RootsMove is a new organisation that supports refugees in the UK to access and improve their housing.

As a newer, smaller organisation, fundraising is an area we need support with.

We’re looking for an individual with the time available to really commit to this role and work towards our fundraising goals alongside our small team.

The fundraiser will be supported by Grace Burgess, who is one of the co-directors of RootsMove and our Volunteer Coordinator.

We want to give back to our volunteers, so we will ensure that there are growth and development opportunities for the volunteer coordinator as part of this role

The time commitment will vary depending on the number of applications we make and can be agreed together as part of the onboarding process.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a driven, passionate individual who has the time and energy to really commit to this role. Other things we are looking for:

  • Excellent writing skills
  • Ability to tell a story- the best grant applications capture the story of an organisation!
  • Experience writing successful grant applications.
  • Comfortable using G Suite
  • Ability to work to produce good quality work within a deadline.
  • You are comfortable working in a remote team- we don't have an office so do almost all our work remotely.

What difference will you make?

RootsMove is at a stage where we need to grow our team and services; funding is crucial to this. By supporting us to access much needed funds, you will be enabling RootsMove to grow and ultimately reach more people who need housing.
