An enthusiastic individual with a passion for developing charities through fundraising

What will you be doing?

Grief Matters Southwark is a low-cost, not-for-profit bereavement charity working in the London Borough of Southwark.

Due to the increase in workload and because we are running on minimum funding we require a volunteer fundraiser to bring in more financial security to our small charity.

Ideally this would be an enthusiastic person who wants to achieve and make their mark in fundraising as a career. The focus will be looking at all possible ways of bringing in donations and support and financial support to the charity.

This could be through fundraising initiatives, sponsorship, community activities, any other current or popular ways to fundraise.  This person will be able to write briefs to fundraising organisations to fundraise on our behalf, but we do not want to rely on these services per se.

We can work together on applications as Grief Matter Southwark has already made successful applications.

Therefore, this role would give the successful candidate would gain beneficial and valuable work experience.

What are we looking for?

A wide range of fundraising experience from local community fundraising, social media fundraising, to grant writing and other fundraising initiatives.

What difference will you make?

The ideal candidate could have a massive impact on the development of our services and help us to employ more staff both paid and volunteers.  We are at the crux of expanding into a bigger and more resourceful service.  We can now only do this through the work of our volunteers of which fundraising will be a crucial impacter
