Youth Create is a committed non-profit Arts charity looking for funding help, to continue our work empowering children & young people. We are looking for an experienced bid writer to write successful grant funding bids/applications
What will you be doing?
Youth Create was founded in 1987, the mission was to offer affordable, accessible workshops in Performing & Creative Arts to members of the community that would otherwise be unable to – due to cost, social and health issues. Then came 2020, which for us as a UK Charity, has meant we have not been able to generate income, as usual, through our own & community events. Although competitive, there are a number of funding opportunities and we really need your help to secure these as soon as possible!
The successful volunteer will respond to all funding opportunities available to Youth Create - mainly unrestricted funds - to enable us to meet our charity costs and, more importantly to cover staff costs/salaries. This will enable us to continue to offer our workshops, specifically to those members of the community that would otherwise be unable to access the skills we offer, due to various disadvantages or disabilities.
The volunteer will therefore:
The commitment required for this opportunity is approximately 7-15 hours per week remotely
What are we looking for?
We are seeking candidates with the following:
We would like our volunteer to be a team member, we're a friendly group of trustees and would welcome anyone with the commitment to our cause
Your contribution would be invaluable to all the children and young people of our community. To be able to secure funding so that we can continue for another 30+ years (hopefully) offering our workshops to the more disadvantaged members of the community. Helping them to build self confidence and self esteem, enabling them to succeed in whatever avenue of life they take.
What difference will you make?
By playing a part in securing the financial future of our organisation, the volunteer will help ensure that our diverse, dynamic charitable organisation continues to support a wide range of people in our community!
