Gane Trust is recruiting up to four Trustees. We would like to hear from people with experience in these key areas:

Legal and Governance, Social Media & Website Development, Craft & Design, Social Care & Nursing

What will you be doing?

Gane Trust is a small Bristol-based charity that supports emerging artists, creative and care professionals in SW through innovative and transformational grants. The Trustees will participate in all Gane Trust activities, including giving awards and individual grants; contributing to good governance of the charity; promoting Gane Trust and its grant holders. We especially welcome applications from candidates from Black and Minority Ethnic backgrounds, younger people and those with disabilities who are under-represented in our current board.

Prior trustee experience is preferable but not essential.

Application deadline: Friday 25 October 2024.

Interviews will be held on:  Monday 4 November, Tuesday 5 November or Saturday 9 November.

For an application pack, and if you would like an informal chat before applying, please contact us via Reach.

What are we looking for?

We would like to hear form people with skills in Legal and Governance. Social Media & Website Development, Craft & Design, and Social Care & Nursing. We especially welcome applications from candidates from Black and Minority Ethnic backgrounds, younger people and those with disabilities who are under-represented in our current Board.  Interest in arts, crafts or social care would be an advantage.

What difference will you make?

We are a small team of trustees committed to the charitable objects of Gane Trust. With the skills in legal and governance, or social and digital media, or social care and nursing, alongside an interest in arts, crafts and design, you will complement the skills and experience of the existing trustees. Our purpose is to give grants and awards to emerging creative practitioners and care professionals, which often have transformational impact on their person and and professional journey.

Before you apply

We would also like to know how their skills and experience would bring value to the Trust. A Trustee recruitment pack is available from Gane Trust. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview, currently scheduled on 4, 5 or 9 November.  An informal chat with an existing Trustee can be offered on request.
