Welcome to Reach Volunteering. We are a community and registered charity that connects people, skills and good causes.

To apply for this role, and any other on our platform, you need to be based in the UK, have at least three years of experience using the skills you wish to volunteer in a professional capacity or have lived experience (for trustee roles). Read more about our criteria.

Join as a mentor in Finance for young individuals battling long-term illness. We ask for 5-6 1 hour sessions to help guide and inspire our young people on their career path.

What will you be doing?

As a mentor, you'll provide guidance and insights into the finance sector to a young person facing long-term illness. Your role involves one-hour mentoring sessions conducted over 5-6 weeks. Share your expertise, offer career advice, and help shape their aspirations in the financial industry. Knowledge specifically on Investment Banking would be ideal.

What are we looking for?

  • Expertise in Finance: Profound knowledge and experience in finance, preferably in areas like banking, investment, or financial analysis.
  • Mentoring and Communication: Ability to mentor effectively, offering guidance and support to a young person with clarity and empathy.
  • Flexibility and Commitment: Willingness to commit to 5-6 weeks of 1-hour sessions

What difference will you make?

Due to the lack of educational support currently available to older youth with long-term illness, your mentorship will provide invaluable support during their health journey. It will empower the mentee to explore and understand the world of finance and build confidence in pursuing career goals.
