  • Reporting to the manager and trustee board.
  • Planning for future funding sources.

What are we looking for?

What we are looking for:

•    A finance professional. A knowledge of charity finance is an advantage. Otherwise an enthusiasm to learn, drawing from sound commercial experience and an understanding of SMEs.•    A strategic thinker with an ability to balance risk and opportunity.•    Clear communicator with the ability to bring the financial information alive to non-finance specialists. •    Willing to play an active role in areas such as forecasting, setting budgets, liaising with auditors

Board Members should possess the following attributes:

  • Ability to identify and critically evaluate business challenges and to focus on achieving these without losing sight of the values of the organisation
  • Be forward-thinking, motivating, and optimistic while maintaining a sense of commercial reality
  • Able to make bold, clear, timely decisions while keeping the values of the organisation in focus
  • Ability to listen carefully and consider all points of view
  • Understand and accept accountability for decisions and role/responsibilities
  • Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism at all times
  • commitment to the aims, principles, and policies of the organisation
  • ability to think creatively and strategically, exercise good, independent judgement and work effectively as a board member
  • effective communication skills and an ability to understand and question financial records and accounts.

What difference will you make?

The role of Treasurer is so important to us - not only do we need someone to keep us on track financially and keep us viable, but just as significantly, we are looking for someone to help us formulate our vision for the future.
