Welcome to Reach Volunteering. We are a community and registered charity that connects people, skills and good causes.

Treasurer is key in maintaining an overview of financial affairs, and ensures appropriate financial measures, controls and procedures are in place, also reporting to the Board regularly about the financial health of the organisation. 

What will you be doing?

To help us through this period of expansion into northeast Derbyshire we are looking for a finance professional, with a knowledge of charity finance or an enthusiasm to learn, but could draw from sound commercial experience and an understanding of SMEs.

We are looking for a strategic thinker with an ability to balance risk and opportunity. A clear communicator with the ability to bring the financial information alive to non-finance specialists.

Willing to play an active role in areas such as forecasting, setting budgets, liaising with auditors

Analytical and evaluation skills, demonstrating good judgement.

What are we looking for?

  • A finance professional.

What difference will you make?

As part of our board you will support and shape our work and strategic direction, as well as help us achieve our purpose. You will be part of a team who deliver the charity Home Start High Peak services. Mainly we recruit local people, to support local people and build the strength and resilience within the community of High Peak, surrounding areas and soon Northeast Derbyshire. We help families and children facing mental health problems, disabilities, serious illness, isolation, social exclusion and risk of homelessness, to make significant improvements to their lives. Overall parents and children reduce their feelings of isolation, marginalisation and social exclusion. Our wide-reaching, inclusive, and long-lasting approach benefits all. The treasurer is a vital role, helping ensure we can continue our support our beneficiaries. As a trustee/ treasurer, you will have a real opportunity to offer your unique skill set to help the strategic progression of the charity.
