We're seeking a dedicated Facilities Manager for Southampton Sea Cadets!

What will you be doing?

As our Facilities Manager, you'll play a vital role in overseeing Southampton Sea Cadets' physical spaces and ensuring they are safe, well-maintained and fit for purpose.

You'll help create an environment where cadets and volunteers can thrive, ensuring our facilities meet the needs of our programs and activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance, safety and compliance of our buildings and facilities
  • Develop and implement a facilities management plan, including budgets for repairs and upgrades
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure facilities meet health and safety standards
  • Advise on the procurement of services, contractors and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including fire safety and accessibility requirements
  • Work with other trustees and volunteers to plan for future facility needs
  • Support fundraising initiatives for facility improvements where necessary

  • Experience in facilities management, property maintenance, or a related field
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practice
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and oversee projects
  • A practical and proactive approach to facility challenges
