We're seeking a dedicated Facilities Manager for Southampton Sea Cadets!

What will you be doing?

As our Facilities Manager, you'll play a vital role in overseeing Southampton Sea Cadets' physical spaces and ensuring they are safe, well-maintained and fit for purpose.

You'll help create an environment where cadets and volunteers can thrive, ensuring our facilities meet the needs of our programs and activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the maintenance, safety and compliance of our buildings and facilities
Develop and implement a facilities management plan, including budgets for repairs and upgrades
Conduct regular inspections to ensure facilities meet health and safety standards
Advise on the procurement of services, contractors and equipment
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including fire safety and accessibility requirements
Work with other trustees and volunteers to plan for future facility needs
Support fundraising initiatives for facility improvements where necessary

What are we looking for?

Experience in facilities management, property maintenance, or a related field
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practice
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Ability to manage budgets and oversee projects
A practical and proactive approach to facility challenges
Passionate about developing young people to achieve their potential
