Pivotal public facing Host and Liaison role in highly unusual exhibition context
We are looking for volunteers to host / operate the day to day management and liason for a unique community photography exhibition. We are displaying a remarkable series of heritage photos reflecting working life in the 1960s and 70s in Lower Marsh (Waterloo, London) in the shop windows in the street. The exhibition will also include Ukrainian photos of the same subject matter and era. An audio guide made up of the memories of local people who remember the street supports the photos and, at weekends, projection of images of people working at the National Theatre, then located at the Old Vic.
We need a committed volunteer to manage the front of house operation on a day to day basis which includes welcoming people with demonstrable experience and expertise, provides them with information, professional guidance for the public to engage with the exhibition and reception and liaison of their feedback on it. Liaison with company office. We will look to you to document (eg through photography) and update social media as part of the role.

The role ensures the difference between the visitor feeling they are a casual passer by and a vip at the exhibition. Their queries adn questions are valued considered answered. The participant will be part of a team making an unusual exhibition happen - the exhibition takes place not in a gallery but in the day to day working environment of a street.
