Events Volunteers are there to ensure that clients have a safe and pleasant experience when attending an event that has been organised by The View

 

What will you be doing?

  • To assist with the setting up of events.
  • To undertake allocated tasks, including welcoming guests, scanning or checking tickets, selling tickets, showing guests to their seats, setting up and selling refreshments, clearing up after the event, acting as fire marshal.
  • To liaise with other key volunteers and staff in helping with the management of the event.
  • To respond flexibly to the various events 
  • To be aware of security risks at all times, including unattended items and the safety of your own possessions.

What are we looking for?

At least 3 years or more experience in events management

Enthusiastic about The View and the women in the justice system

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

A positive, friendly, helpful attitude.

Willing to undertake training 

Able to operate as part of a team and to take instruction.

Able to use initiative and judgement.

What difference will you make?

You’ll be helping to change lives and raise awareness of the experience of women in the justice system, whose stories are often hard to hear, but essential for radical reform to create a fairer society.
