Join us as an Event Coordinator to bring PrettyPowerful’s workshops and gatherings to life! Plan and manage events that foster community, personal growth, and support for women of colour facing adversity.

What will you be doing?

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Event Coordinator to help plan, coordinate, and execute impactful events. Responsibilities include:

  • Event Planning: Organise logistics for workshops, brunches, and support groups, including venue coordination, scheduling, and catering.
  • Outreach and Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events through email, social media, and community networks.
  • Day-of Coordination: Ensure events run smoothly by managing on-site logistics, setting up materials, and welcoming participants.

You’ll work with our Operations Manager and Program Director and have some flexibility to bring your unique ideas to our events. This is an ideal role for someone passionate about creating impactful, community-driven experiences.

    • Skilled in planning and coordinating events, including scheduling, logistics, and resource allocation.
  • Project Management
    • Strong ability to oversee all aspects of event execution, from setup to wrap-up, and keep events on track.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills
    • Effective in communicating event details with team members, vendors, participants, and other stakeholders.
  • Budgeting and Financial Awareness
    • Able to create and manage event budgets, ensure financial efficiency, and work within allocated resources.
  • Problem-Solving Skills
    • Quick-thinking and capable of handling last-minute issues or changes during events.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Works collaboratively with team members and volunteers to ensure a cohesive event experience.
  • Attention to Detail
    • Thorough in ensuring all event elements are well-coordinated, from setup details to attendee lists.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability
    • Comfortable adapting plans and tasks based on event needs, participant feedback, or unexpected changes.
  • Marketing and Promotion Skills
    • Familiar with promotional strategies to drive event attendance and awareness, such as email marketing or social media.
