Welcome to Reach Volunteering. We are a community and registered charity that connects people, skills and good causes.

To apply for this role, and any other on our platform, you need to be based in the UK, have at least three years of experience using the skills you wish to volunteer in a professional capacity or have lived experience (for trustee roles). Read more about our criteria.

The Fundraiser will be a key member of  our management team and will  help  ensure we have the necessary funds in place to cover the expenses of the book festival

 

What will you be doing?

Responsibilities

  • Agree with the trustees how much money we need to raise each year.
  • Working with the Trustees and Management Team to agree best approaches to fundraising, including suitable potential sponsors.
  • Together with the marketing team, develop a sponsorship matrix for local businesses with different tiers of sponsorship.
  • Together with the marketing team, develop attractive sponsorship collateral.
  • Develop relationships and liaise with approved local businesses to secure sponsorship.
  • Ensure that all aspects of the agreed sponsorship packages are fulfilled.
  • Identify and apply for grants.
  • Develop “Easy Fund Raising” and Just Giving as sources of revenue.
  • Organise public acknowledgement and thanks to donors.

  • Knowledge and previous experience of fundraising. 
  • Willingness to seek out potential sources of funding. 
  • Experience of writing funding bids.
  • Great people skills; approachable and friendly.
  • Organised, methodical, reliable.
  • Great negotiating and influencing skills.
