What difference will you make?

In order to support new volunteers as they come on board, the charity is looking for a learning expert with sufficient experience to take a fresh look, advise and help us implement appropriate orientation and education materials.

MissionAssist is a network of virtual volunteers providing services and resources for others to use around the world. Many people are recruited with specific skills and experience, such as qualified translators and gifted illustrators. For other services, such as creating digital text from rare and fragile books, MissionAssist provides team members with custom training for our unique projects and processes.

We welcome each new volunteer with an initial telephone conversation to introduce them to the charity. Then task-specific learning is led by subject experts with established training resources.

In partership with other organisations, MissionAssist is looking ahead to providing more opportunities for people to volunteer from their own homes. We want to do our best to help a new intake of volunteers to learn about the aims, tasks and impact of their contribution.

What's in it for the volunteer?

The volunteers who make up MissionAssist are hard-working and committed. The opportunity to work with them and support one another is very fulfilling as well as the key aspect of participating in the shared mission.

Strengthening our volunteer training could make a real difference to the future viability of the charity and the services which it provides.
