Welcome to Reach Volunteering. We are a community and registered charity that connects people, skills and good causes.

To apply for this role, and any other on our platform, you need to be based in the UK, have at least three years of experience using the skills you wish to volunteer in a professional capacity or have lived experience (for trustee roles). Read more about our criteria.

21 Together is a charity supporting children and young people in Kent with Down's syndrome, along with their families and the professionals that work alongside them. We are looking for a new Trustee to join our experienced board.

What will you be doing?

As a charity supporting those with Down's Syndrome, a link to our community would be beneficial in this role, but not essential. A passion in supporting those with SEN to have high aspirations and achieve their potential is a must!

The Trustee would work alongside our friendly board of five others in supporting the charity to make strategic decisions to ensure the charity's long-term sustainability and future growth.

What are we looking for?

The main qualities we are looking for from a Trustee are commitment and enthusiasm to support our charity to meet its aims. We have a passion for supporting our community and are looking for someone like-minded to join us in providing the best service we can. Having said that, the current financial climate is making it far more difficult to find funding, and so anyone with experience in fundraising would be very welcome!

What difference will you make?

This is a vital role, helping ensure we can continue our support for our community. As a trustee, you will have a real opportunity to offer your unique skill set to help the strategic progression of the charity and ensure that we are able to support children and young people with Down's syndrome for years to come. You will help us to provide opportunities and support to our families that they would not otherwise have had.
