1-3 hours / week, 3-7 hours / week or 7-15 hours / week
We request a minimum of two hours a week from our regular volunteers, though we can be flexible.

Help manage the day to day donations received to Shine A Light from individuals and companies

What will you be doing?

  • Maintain an accurate picture of all donations received (money, products, services and legacies) 
  • Ensure all donations are acknowledged and thank the donor in an appropriate way 
  • Analyse donation success by area and marketing activity 
  • Work with all other appropriate staff including fundraising, sponsorship and events team 
  • Create and implement plans to attain further donations from different avenues 
  • Identify specific donations required such as office supplies etc and work to market these with relevant depts.

What are we looking for?

  • You will need excellent communication skills, both verbal and written 
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office packages 
  • Experience of managing donations, and keeping records of these 
  • An interest in, and commitment to Shine A Light

What difference will you make?

You will help develop a consistent relationship with companies and individuals who wish to make a donations, ensuring they feel appreciated and that each donation is acknowledged, which will encourage people to keep coming back to us. 

Before you apply

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete an application form for our records. You will be invited to an induction day, where you will receive basic training, and have an informal interview. This will be lead by our CEO and will be an opportunity to learn more about what we do and meet some of our team.
