We are looking for a Director with strong Health & Safety experience to:

• Attend regular Board meetings (frequency to be determined)
• Have regular H&S meetings with Community Fridge Co-ordinators
• Overall responsibility and compliance of the Fare Divide’s H&S matter making sure volunteers are aware other importance and follow safety processes.
• Conduct/organise relevant health and safety training for staff as required, including first aid and fire safety.
• Conduct all “risk assessments” as required by legislation and are reviewed at relevant intervals and to maintain records of the same.
• Conduct & carryout compliance audits of Fare Divide Community Fridges, report on findings and manage through to completion.
• Carry out all risk assessments and special assessments for each Community Fridge as required including manual handling, lone working, young/ lone working etc.
• Identify, co-ordinate and manage first aid and fire safety representative for Fare Divide.
• To recommend & implement control measures and advise on PPE to volunteers.
• To carry out investigations into all accidents and near-miss incidents.
• Keep up to date with changes in current legislation and implement such changes where relevant.
• Any other ad hoc health and safety duties as required.
