Do you have experience in managing an organisation's communications and marketing? Could you work effectively as part of a virtual team of home-based, part-time volunteers? Are you seeking to use your talents to serve world mission?
Overall Responsibility: Provide assistance to the CEO, and contribute to the leadership of the charity in the areas of communications and marketing, in support of MissionAssist's charitable objects.
Experience, Skills and Abilities:
The Director of Communications and Marketing is a key role in promoting and extending the reach of MissionAssist as we work together to show God's love for people everywhere.
MissionAssist's services are offered without charge to the mission workers being supported, with the work carried out by skilled, committed volunteers, largely from their own homes. Therefore, over the thirty years since it was first established, the whole organisation has been focused on achieving its charitable aims and not distracted by fundraising.
Publicity via various media and events is targeting potential beneficiaries and potential volunteers. MissionAssist seeks to match up people who have suitable tasks, but not the necessary time and/or expertise, with others who have the time, expertise and motivation to help remotely Also important is promotion of resources such as the EasyEnglish Bible, and Functional Literacy Shell Books produced by MissionAssist volunteers.
The volunteers who make up MissionAssist are skilled, experienced and committed. The opportunity to work with them, exchange knowledge and support one another is very fulfilling as well as the key aspect of participating in the shared mission.
The Director of Communications and Marketing specifically can make a real difference in promoting awareness of MissionAssist which we expect to be reflected in objective metrics and personal feedback from those who are extremely grateful that they were directed to this charity.
There is no closing date deadline. Applications will be considered as they are received. The post will be advertised until a volunteer is appointed.
