Time

Either in or out of office hours We would like a minimum commitment of 6 months, working flexibly. The time commitment is flexible, we estimate 2-3 hours a week initially.

We want to transform how we work internally and with the community through a digital transformation in how we develop and grow as an organisation.

What will you be doing?

We are looking for someone who can help us develop and implement an innovative digital strategy, including:

  • How we provide on-line information, advice and training, including making everything easy to access on our website and for staff.
  • How we develop the internal skills and competencies we need for the future.
  • How we work with partners in a place based approach to provide open access to information, advice and guidance to the whole community e.g. how local activities, services and facilities are promoted within a community.

The individual we are looking for will be innovative and flexible, and would work closely with the CEO, trustees and a small project team. The individual could work with us on site or work remotely.

This is an opportunity for a volunteer role.

The successful applicant will need to have some experience of working with the third sector in the UK as a volunteer, an employee, a director or trustee or providing support and advice to the third sector organisation.

 

What are we looking for?

We ideally are looking for someone who can:

  • Lead a digital strategy and work programme that will develop our ability to work remotely within communities
  • Understands the needs of people with limited skills and knowledge
  • Has a good understanding and some experience of working with third sector organisations / trustees.
  • Preferably has a knowledge of Office 365, Teams and database management.
