On-line or off-line media and communications for our external audiences and internal relations strategised and developed for our needs
We work with racialised and oppressed communities and the more than human worlds, centring care
We would like the volunteer to develop:
- A sound social media strategy to reach the right audiences at the right times and with the best information to help us develop a good following and networks and to best communicate what we are doing on an ongoing basis
- Such a strategy would need to factor in our current strengths and opportunities
- We would need this strategy to run in tandem with our event management and support it.
- To be able to produce good content or to organise to acquire assets which are personalised for our use from any of the existing platforms (upwork, freelancer, fiverr etc)
- Once the person has a good grasp of our objectives to be able to work using own initiative and liaise accordingly for effective internal communication
- To begin to implement the designed strategy and train our team to run with it.
- To support our internal communications by assisting to set up one of the existing systems (trello, etc) and ease us into effectively using it.
- The volunteer should have competent Social Media and Comms skills and experience, working across a range of platforms
- The volunteer needs to be able to rapidly assess what our needs are and to design an easy to follow strategy to help us to meet our visions and needs
- A relatable and confident personality
- A good listener, able to quickly assess needs
- Competence in content creation and elevating a social media profile as relevant and as needed, including website
- Able to use initiative and draw upon our resources to amplify our presence in the world, whilst not compromising our bottom lines
- Good insight into communicating FROM the experience of marginalised and oppressed communities, locally and globally
- Able to set up, use and train us on using a project management app for aiding our internal comms and management experience.
- A competent volunteer will help streamline our operations internally and externally to make a significant impact upon our outreach and functioning
- Your impact will enable our important work with disenfranchised communities and the environment reach a new level and work with an expanded set of participants
