Since our inception in 2017, Repair Cafe Wales has grown from 1 cafe to now encompass a network of 34 repair events predominantly across Wales, but also in England and Scotland. Each event has its own local organiser and volunteer base, and so far we have helped over 4,000 people with broken items.
A digital ambassador is a vital role for Repair Cafe Wales as we look to digitalise our key processes to support the growth we have undergone, as well as to allow for future growth. We work for our communities to influence standards for goods and government policy, using the data we collect from our events to help inform policy decisions that promote a greener, more sustainable world. Therefore, having suitable digital processes in place is hugely important to ensure all data is captured effectively.
You will be joining a friendly and hugely passionate team. Our ambassadors meet virtually every 6 weeks along with our local organisers to catch-up, ask questions and provide updates. You will have the full support of the board as well as the opportunity to get involved in any projects which may be of interest to you, regardless of if these fall under the digital remit.
