We'd like a volunteer to help us design and build a relational database for our Fifty Plus Digital project which supports older people to become more digitally confident.
Through our Fifty Plus Digital project, older people come together to learn how to navigate the digital world. Our weekly activities include a popular Digital Drop-in where older people can get one-to-one digital support, and small group activities that bring people together to learn how to use devices, apps and the internet, and importantly, how to stay safe online.
Over the course of twenty years, Fifty Plus Digital has built up a wide and diverse community of over 400 older people from all over North East London and even further afield. Some of whom attend every week, whilst others drop in and take part as and when they need help.
With this number of people and activities and a need to report to funders, we've reached a point where our Excel spreadsheet needs to evolve into a full relational database. We're looking for someone who can help our Project Lead design and build a tool (using Airtable) that will give us what we need.
We are seeking a volunteer who has professional experience of designing, building and maintaining relational databases, and who can work with our Project Lead for a few months to design and build a database that meets the project's needs.
A well-designed relational database is essential if our Fifty Plus Digital project is to continue to grow. Your help will ensure we can manage and report on all activities and participants accurately and promptly, save valuable time for our Project Lead, and ultimately help us make sure our case for future funding is as strong as it can be, so that many more older people can benefit.
