What will you be doing?

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Data Protection Manager to volunteer their expertise in ensuring our compliance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. This short-term role involves providing vital advice and assistance during our association's setup, with the possibility of extending to offer ad hoc support if desired.

About Us: Cheetham Tenants and Residents Alliance is dedicated to improving the quality of life for all who live and work in Cheetham. We aim to foster a vibrant and inclusive community, offering a range of activities and support for our residents.

What are we looking for?

Your Role:

  • Assess our current data protection practices and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide expert advice on compliance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
  • Ensure privacy by design principles are integrated into our processes and systems.
  • Develop and implement data protection policies and procedures.
  • Conduct data protection impact assessments where necessary.
  • Offer training and guidance to staff and volunteers on data protection matters.
  • Optionally, provide ongoing ad hoc advice and assistance on data protection issues if you wish to stay involved.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Considerable experience and expertise in data protection and privacy regulations.
  • Strong understanding of the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex data protection concepts clearly.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to compliance.
