Empower women, youth & kids through capacity building, research & entrepreneurship. We need a curriculum development specialist to help finalizing our Human Rights & UN-SDGs curriculum.

What will you be doing?

The volunteer will work remotely and expected to carryout the following;

  1. background research on our curriculum subject areas 
  2. work with the team and more specifically the international curriculum developer to suggest and develop content for learning that are fun, engaging and sends the message of the content and that could include the following;
    1. Content based on learning for human rights, gender equality, conflict transformation and UN-SDGs 
    2. where real life situations cannot be captured in animation than to create new animations that can send the message and help students learn about the subject area
    3. Content to spread awareness, show problem, why it happened and how or what we can do to resolve it or prevent it
  3. Use your own initiative to make content fun and engaging  
  4. Meet once a week online to discuss progress and stick to weekly deadlines
  5. Practice respect for human rights for all, equality and non-discrimination rules and regulations
  6. Have fun, suggest new ideas, ask for help and be able to work in a team that support each other
  7. The volunteer will have access to online training portals where they can take courses in leadership, project management, finance and more to develop new skills. The volunteer will also get recognition as editor of the curriculum.

We are looking for someone to commit from minimum 8hs (1 day) to15hrs or more a week volunteering and who can complete the project by the agreed deadline

What are we looking for?

Required;

Previous experience in developing curriculums and content for learning from 6-17 year olds and 18+

Good at presentation and creating engaging materials for easy learning

Experience in creating online short courses

Desired: 

A fun personality able to create fun engaging content

Some who respects and believes in Human Rights for all

Being able to use their own initiative to create fun engaging content 

What difference will you make?

The content the volunteer is creating will be delivered through our curriculum for free to marginalized, vulnerable and disadvantaged women, youth and kids both in Palestine and the UK and provided at low costs for those who fall outside that category. The engaging content will help prevent abuse, build the capacities of our beneficiaries to prevent conflict and abuse and encourage peace and respect for human rights, upskill less advantaged families, kids and teachers who do not have the opportunity in Palestine to upskill due to occupation, prevent abuse of kids in workplaces and schools, in homes and communities, prevent abuse of women in workplaces, homes and communities, contribute to a community that respects gender equality and that safeguards against abuse. Help encourage the awareness of the UN-Sustainable Development Goals through learning and allowing our beneficiaries become leaders of change within their communities.
