What will you be doing?

We seek a passionate and creative Content Writer to join our team remotely. In this role, you will craft compelling content that resonates with our diverse audience of migrants, community leaders, and advocates. You will be responsible for creating diverse content types, including articles, blog posts, newsletters, and social media content that align with our mission and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research, write, and edit engaging and informative content that supports the needs and interests of migrants.
  • Develop content strategies that align with Life Without Borders’ mission to inform, transform, and integrate.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and social media teams to create content that drives engagement and fosters a sense of community.
  • Interview migrants and other stakeholders to create powerful stories that highlight the migrant experience.
  • Ensure all content is culturally sensitive, inclusive, and adheres to the highest standards of accuracy and integrity.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, migration issues, and content marketing best practices.
  • Develop and write clear, engaging, and informative content related to many countries, their culture and ways of life and beautiful destinations.
  • Research and stay updated on the latest trends and topics in tourism, languages, arts and culture to ensure content is relevant and accurate.
  • Collaborate with programme managers and copy editors to create content that aligns with our services and supports our audiences and clients’ needs.
  • Produce content for our website, blog, social media channels, email campaigns, and other marketing materials.
  • Edit and proofread content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Optimize content for SEO to improve online visibility and reach.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas for new content topics and strategies.
  • Monitor and analyse content performance metrics to refine content strategy and enhance engagement.
  • Volunteer 4-6 hours per week.

What are we looking for?

  • Proven experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter, or similar role.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong research skills and the ability to distil complex information into clear, accessible content.
  • A deep understanding of migrant issues, cultural diversity, and inclusion.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with content management systems (CMS) and basic SEO principles.
  • Experience with social media platforms and content distribution strategies is a plus.
  • Passion for social justice, community building, and empowering vulnerable populations.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Adaptable, with the ability to shift focus regularly to align Business and team priorities.
  • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
