Welcome to Reach Volunteering. We are a community and registered charity that connects people, skills and good causes.

We are currently developing a new helpline service for people with DCM, we need someone to help create digital content to help promote and advertise this new helpline service.

What will you be doing?

What will I be doing?

  • Responsible for creating, improving and maintaining content with the goal of raising the charity’s awareness by sharing content, and monitoring web traffic and metrics with the interest of maintaining best practices
  • Develop an engaging content strategy and calendar that aligns with charity’s targets both short-term and long-term goals
  • Create, lead and manage your own content team of volunteers (e.g. writers, graphic designers, and other industry professionals) in order to maintain the content calendar that schedules all aspects of the creation and delivery of content 
  • Create and manage digital marketing campaigns for the charity to help the charity increase funding and awareness through social media channels, including timelines, content calendar and analysing campaign reach 
  • Update or create engaging marketing and funding materials for the charity (this can be on an ad-hoc basis if preferred), including our blog, brochures, reports, social media posts, email blasts and newsletters
  • Generate updates/reports such as analysing social media reach and general data analysis
  • Manage website content such as editing current pages and creating content for our new website
  • Edit, proofread and improve upon writers’ works when necessary and ensure brand consistency by communicating effectively with writers
  • Collaborate and liaise with the trustees and executive team to finalise content through approvals process
  • Work from home, with regular support and check-ins with a dedicated project lead

We offer flexible working hours, remote working, minimum one day a week (negotiable). This can be an on-going volunteering opportunity or by project based.

What skills and attributes do I need?

  • Digital marketing – ideally with general/social media content management and campaigns
  • Knowledge of MS Office and if possible WordPress 
  • Organised who’s also good at time and project management 
  • Think creatively
  • Be flexible and proactive
  • Team spirit as well as being able to work independently
  • Comprehension of and familiarity with social media
  • Good copywriting (e.g. ability to translate key messages into engaging and compliant copy), editing and proofreading skills to ensure spelling and grammar are correct and tone of voice is consistent
