HWF provides support services for UK-based healthcare workers.

We are looking for a content creator and storyteller to help us reach and engage with difference audiences, via a range of digital channels (website and social).

What will you be doing?

We are looking for someone who feels comfortable developing their own impactful content and accompanying graphics for us to use on our digital channels, so that we can engage with our audiences enabling us to expand brand awareness, increase uptake of our services and attract more potential funders/supporters. We need to create powerful stories from the experiences that our users are facing to raise awareness of the pressures that our healthcare workers are under; with the additional burden of the cost-of-living crisis, HWF's support of healthcare workers is now more important than ever.

Working directly with our Communications Manager, you will become part of our small, friendly team and have the opportunity to use your time and skills to make a real difference to the lives of healthcare workers.

What are we looking for?

We'd love help with:

  • Considering our audiences’ information needs and how we can present that effectively
  • Ensuring the nation’s healthcare workers are centred in our communications
  • Working to develop our brand voice for social media
  • The production of fresh and engaging content for our website and social media channels that adheres to SEO and our brand
  • Helping us to develop and/or execute a social media campaign as and when they arise
  • Case study writing and storytelling: help communicate our impact with stories and case studies that we can use on our website and social channels

We'd like you to bring your skills to do this by providing:

  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • An understanding and ability to write for different mediums and in different formats
  • Several years' experience in copywriting, marketing, communications or journalism
  • Ensuring brand consistency and accuracy through tone of voice and graphics
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • The ability to quickly understand the needs of our team, organisation and users
  • Understanding of the resource constraints of a small charity and will work within these
  • Being open to feedback

What difference will you make?

Your input will not only help us raise the profile of our work and support, so that we can raise crucial funds, but shape how we present ourselves to our beneficiaries. We are a very small team with a huge job to do and volunteer help is a crucial part of who we are.
