What will you be doing?

The organisation is led by autistic survivors and our allies. We are looking for someone with lived experience / an empathic approach to the needs of this cohort, and who understands that timely directorship and responses are central to this role.

In addition to understanding the workings of Community Interest Companies, the successful applicant will bring knowledge and skills related to company directorship and administration, and an enthusiasm for engaging in other aspects of the organisation will be encouraged.

The Company Secretary will work alongside the other directors to raise awareness and support autistic survivors of sexual violence and related abuse as carried out through our core activities: collaborations, training, activities (e.g. webinars and projects), and consultancies.

As with all the roles in this organisation, there is opportunity to offer and develop ideas, engaging with other directors, that fit with our Mission statement and objectives.

What are we looking for?

  • Ability to take minutes and circulate them in a timely manner
  • To send reminders to Directors / Committee members about action points agreed at the last meeting.
  • To manage the membership database.
  • Previous experience in admin work
  • An understanding of the need for confidentiality
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the nature and impact of sexual violence / abuse
  • High standards of accessible work presentation
  • Ability to prioritise own workload
  • Proficient with IT, with experience of working with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Commitment to Lotus Collaborations’ Mission
  • Ability to write clear reports
  • Eligible to work in the UK
