The Network of Wellbeing is looking for a dedicated professional to take on the role of its Company Secretary.

What will you be doing?

The Company Secretary is responsible for ensuring that the Charity is governed to a high standard. They will oversee and approve the agendas for all Trustee meetings, the minute-taking and the Charity's compliance with company and charity law, including its reporting duties to Companies House and the Charity Commission.   This person will be responsible for:

  • advising Trustees and the Director on corporate governance and financial management;
  • overseeing the preparation of agendas and the taking of accurate minutes;
  • keeping up to date with regulatory or statutory changes and policies that might affect us;
  • liaising with our auditors, Companies House and the Charities Commission.

What are we looking for?

The Network of Wellbeing is looking for a Trustee who:

  • has an interest in wellbeing and are committed to our vision and mission;
  • has a good understanding of or is capable of learning their legal duties, liabilities, and responsibilities;
  • are good team workers;
  • has experience of developing and putting into effect organisational strategies;
  • can work with other Trustees to support and hold the Director to account;
  • can act as an ambassador for the Network;
  • is able and willing to devote the necessary time to the role.
