Disability Equals Ability seeks a Community Volunteer Coordinator to play a pivotal role in our growing charity. 

What will you be doing?

The Community Volunteer Coordinator will make a significant difference by:

  • Motivating and empowering volunteers to contribute effectively to our cause.

  • Collaborating closely with Trustees to align volunteer efforts with organizational goals.
  • Identifying potential fundraising opportunities to support our charity's growth and sustainability.

The Volunteer Coordinator will play a crucial role in responding to internal and external initiatives and adapting to ensure the charity's continued success. What are we looking for?

Ability to communicate effectively with volunteers, Trustees, staff, and external stakeholders. Clear and concise communication is essential for conveying expectations, providing support, and fostering a positive environment.

A genuine passion for working with people and empowering volunteers. The ability to build rapport, motivate others, and create a supportive community within the charity.

Strong organizational skills to manage volunteer schedules, coordinate events and activities, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. The ability to prioritize tasks, set deadlines, and manage time efficiently is crucial.

Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and problem-solve effectively. The capacity to identify areas for improvement, propose solutions, and implement changes autonomously.

Basic understanding of fundraising principles and experience identifying potential fundraising opportunities. Collaborating with the Fundraising and Marketing Manager to explore avenues for financial support and sustainability.

Experience in campaigning or organizing to achieve social change.
