Fundraising Committee meets monthly for an hour (currently via Zoom) with ad hoc work for the Robes Charity Manager and fundraising committee.

We are a local homeless charity based in Southwark. We are seeking a community fundraising volunteer to help develop local strategies and plans to secure increased funding and inspire supporters to get involved.

What will you be doing?

  • Bringing ideas to Robes Fundraising Committee for community engagement and sharing your learning, insight and best practice
  • Growing and nurturing our volunteer network by building relationships with community volunteers, churches and faith groups
  • Promoting our existing community fundraising campaigns
  • Articulating the benefits and value of fundraising for Robes

What are we looking for?

Our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do and we are looking for a community fundraising volunteer to join our fundraising committee. This individual will help develop local strategies and plans to secure increased funding and inspire supporters to get involved in fundraising.

To be successful in this role you will be pro-active and confident with good communication skills. Evidence of experience working in a comparable role would be beneficial.

What difference will you make?

Robes have been operating for the past 13 years and we've made a real difference in that time, providing a helping hand out of homelessness for [over 500 people]. In that time we have raised nearly £1 million mainly thanks to our loyal and generous supporters. Now we need to expand our supporter base and look at new ways to fundraise to gain even more support. By bringing new expertise to our fundraising committee, you will help us to grow, evolve, and continue to support homeless people into the future.

What's in it for the volunteer?

This would be a chance to make a real difference to help those who find themselves homeless in London by lending your expertise and insight to help us increase funding and inspire supporters to get involved in fundraising.
