Turtle Dove is a community interest company that supports and empowers young women into employment. The advisor will support and capacity build within the team to strengthen the online presence of the business.

What will you be doing?

Turtle Dove Cambridge is a Community Interest Company which exists to provide supported work experience and educational opportunities for young women aged 14-24 who are or are at risk of not being in education, employment or training. We support young women who lack the confidence to gain training and employment due to negative life experiences.

Turtle Dove is looking for someone who is committed and enthusiastic to make a big difference within a small team. The volunteer will work closely with the Communications Coordinator and Marketing Director in the:

  • Review and development of company website to optimise engagement
  • Advise on SEO and other tools to enhance online presense
  • Advise and create successful content for social media 
  • Contribute to building a marketing and communications strategy with a focus on website and social media
  • Provide capacity building on web design and utlising social media analytics
  • Any other tasks identified as relevant

Skills in WordPress, analytics and strategy development are particularly sought after. 

What are we looking for?

We are seeking someone with experience in web design (WordPress) and marketing and communications strategy development. Knowledge about the non-profit sector and passionate about women's empowerment is key.You need to be able to work independently and proactively pursue new opportunities for the companies growth and improvement.You should be keen to mentor and capacity build within the team to ensure the sustainability of the work completed. 

What difference will you make?

Your input will shape how we present ourselves online to our service users, stakeholders, funders and general public. With your help we will be able to extend our reach supporting young women in need of support.
