We are seeking creative and enthusiastic Coach/Mentors to join our Hub in Watton to work one to one or in small groups with our Members. We work with adults 18 and over to provide positive opportunities for them to grow and flourish.

What will you be doing?

Volunteer Coach/Mentors will attend our Hub in Watton and meet with the Members to share their skills and abilities with them on a variety of topics such as photography, art and craft/horticulture etc to help our Members learn new skills and develop their confidence on a one to one basis or within a small group. You will not be lone working.

The volunteer will work with our sessional worker and volunteers have flexibility to develop the role. The role will be from 2 hours a week initially to a maximum of 6 hours a week, depending upon the activity. Our Members provide peer support to each other and we are Member led. We welcome Coach/Mentors who may have lived experience of mental health difficulties to share their resilience or they may have experience in caring for someone with mental health difficulties.

What are we looking for?

We are seeking volunteers with experience in Mentoring and/or Coaching in some capacity (formal or informal) who have practical skills and experience they want to share with our Members. These may be artistic, musical, technical in nature and creative in the widest sense. Also skills around cookery/information technology or outdoors such as gardening, sporting or craft/art based skills which the volunteer is able to share with our Members to improve their mental health and life skills are most welcome.

Patience and a sense of humour are just as important as much as any experience, formal qualifications and skills.

What difference will you make?

Your support and expertise will support the growth of the Hub Members and also the growth of the Hub Membership. It will support our strategy for the next 12-24 months in what we can achieve and help our Members grow confidence and facilitate their access to other opportunities for education, training and employment.

Before you apply

Please apply through Reach in the first instance. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete our additional application form and an informal chat. We will require a DBS check and 2 references.
