 This challenging CEO role may suit a recent retiree from the business world eager to keep the little grey cells working.

What will you be doing?

The volunteer CEO will work with a small executive team and coordinate activities through various committees responsible for marketing, communications (social media and newsletter), education, and R&D.  Also with semi-autonomous ESTA chapters in five countries.

The volunteer CEO will oversee the implementation of a new three-year strategic plan for growth. They will report formally to the ESTA Board and work from day to day with a small governance committee.

We are a young organization and are sufficiently flexible to welcome the input of new ideas and methods.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in middle/senior management, preferably with non-profit organizations
  • Strong experience in public relations, marketing and fund-raising
  • Knowledge of leadership and management principles 
  • Experience in managing budgets
  • Proven success working with a board of directors
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with an innovative approach to business planning
  • Ability to think and act strategically
  • A dynamic and charismatic player who enjoys being the public face of an organization
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills
