  1. Counter-sign charity cheques and financial instruments (including any electronic transactions).
  1. Liaise with the charity’s auditors or independent examiner, where appropriate and take lead responsibility within BuDS for implementing any recommendations by auditors .
  1. Take lead responsibility for ensuring that the BuDS annual accounts and financial notes are prepared in good time and submitted to the Annual General Meeting and Charity Commission on time.
  1. Ensure that the Board of Trustees is properly and adequately informed about all financial matters and the current and future financial viability of the organisation and in particular that formal Trustee meetings are presented with up-to-date monthly management accounts including a cash flow projection.
  1. With the other officers, take forward BuDS’s change of legal form from an unincorporated association to a charitable company limited by guarantee, including in due course acting as the Treasurer to the charitable company.
  1. With the other officers, contribute to the charity’s Strategic Plan and support strategic planning meetings and developments.
