We are an independent Charity Shop, raising money for UNICEF. Looking for a Trustee / Board member to join our friendly team.
As a small Board of 5 Directors, we are seeking two new members to replace 2 of our existing members who are retiring. We are looking for someone who has some time to spare, to help us guide our established shop management team in their duties of running our independent Charity Shop. Although our shop is an independent retail outlet, all our profit is sent to UNICEF. Our shop management team consists of one well established Manager and 3 new Assistant Managers. Any organisational skills would be beneficial, alongside retail or management experience. Current challenges include the establishment of a Safeguarding Policy, creation of a Policy & Procedure Manual and the take on of some Treasurer duties.
We are looking for a good communicator who can work effectively with other Board members and the shop management team. Any experience with implementing policies and procedures would be beneficial, as this is an area we need to improve on.
Our Board members play a vital role in ensuring the shop runs as efficiently as possible, maximising profits and therefore supporting UNICEF with as much funding as possible. Being part of our board means you would have a chance to help shape the work we do and ensure processes are properly adhered to, with the ultimate aim of supporting UNICEF.
