Fundraiser required for small charity working with young people in Market Harborough. Small committed team of staff needing support to raise funding for new projects.

What will you be doing?

We are looking for someone who will work with us to develop and implement fundraising plans and strategies to raise funds for the long-term sustainability of the charity. We are looking for someone who will get to know both us and the work we do and research potential funders and identify new opportunities for fundraising. If this is something that you could do you will work with us to write grant proposals and submit for grant applications to secure the ongoing and future work of the charity.

Our key deliverables are to help us to increase the donations we currently receive and to support us to grow the work we do, particularly our counselling and mentoring projects, work developing young people and fully fund our running costs.

The key people you will work with are the Charity Manager and the administrator. You will collaborate with other areas of the charity to ensure fundraising and charity aims align.

We recognise that this role will evolve as the volunteer settles in. We value volunteers' skills and expertise and always aim to provide opportunities where people feel valued and contributing to the futures of young people.

What are we looking for?

Experience of:

  • Working well with others particularly the Charity Manager
  • Researching fundraising opportunities
  • Writing funding bids and submit applications
  • Processing funding bids through to implementation

What difference will you make?

Your input will enable us to continue the work of the charity through the development and implementation fundraising plans and strategies to raise funds for the long-term sustainability of the charity.

This will have a direct impact on the number of young people we are able to support through counselling, school and open access youth work. Our work supports families who may find themselves struggling as they navigate adolescence and the often new challenges that may bring. Our schools work particularly supports young people who find school, especially transition times, difficult with little additional funding available. Raising funds to support this work is critical for the charity to make a difference.
