Board meets bi-monthly at 6.15 - for about two hours. Occasional availablity to speak to staff and to attend strategy setting and training days useful

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to join our team as Chairperson.

What will you be doing?

The Chairperson will play a pivotal role in leading the strategic direction and operational oversight of CHAC. This includes financial management, policy review, team leadership, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. The Chairperson will work closely with the Board of Trustees, the Treasurer, the Vice Chair, and other key stakeholders to champion and promote the charity’s mission and services.

What are we looking for?

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably within the charity sector.

. Housing knowledge is useful but essential 

• Strong financial acumen and experience in financial oversight.

• Excellent strategic planning and implementation skills.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Demonstrated ability to manage teams and work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

• Experience in policy review, risk management, and audit processes.

• Passionate about housing issues and committed to the mission of CHAC.

• Previous experience as a Trustee or in a governance role is highly desirable.
