We are looking for a Chair of Trustees based in Hampshire who has a passion for dance/the arts and wants to help develop a local charity that provides opportunities to dance for those who are less able to access it.
Move Momentum is a local charity based in Winchester, Hampshire that aims to make dance accessible to everyone. We provide inclusive and affordable dance classes for people who otherwise might not have the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of dance.
We are currently growing rapidly as an organisation and developing our services so we're looking for someone who can support the CEO and board and guide us in that development so that we can run more effectively and support more people to access our services. As a fairly new charity, we are in need of support to reach our full potential. We are a friendly welcoming, inclusive team that's passionate about the benefits of dance and its ability to help people, and making that opportunity accessible to everyone.
The commitment required is attendance at quarterly board meetings held virtually along with communication via email regarding board-level decisions and/or requesting certain documents to be reviewed. As a trustee, you may be asked to support other specific charity events or tasks, but this will be at the trustee’s discretion. The Chair of Trustees role also includes:
