Lead, manage/develop our Charity to deliver our Charity's aims; to save lives of local people by teaching essential water safety/swimming skills through learn to swim, development, performance pathways.

 

 

What will you be doing?

Our vibrant, inclusive community, competitive swim club seeks a Chair Trustee to guide and lead a team of Trustees to ensure our Charity grows, develops and is sustainable in all areas of our business, fulfilling our Charitable aims. Skills/attributes: previous experience as a Trustee and or Senior experience in Business Management Leadership. 

What are we looking for?

Senior Business Management Leadership skills. Principles and processes in equity, diversity and inclusion. Communication skills. Passion for human development. Interest or lived experience in sport for development/sport performance. Team Leadership. Diplomacy, negotiating.  Able to foster and promote a collaborative team environment.

As Chair of the Board you will support and lead our Charity and strategic direction while fulfilling our purpose; saving lives of local people by teaching water safety/swimming programmes, improving mental & physical wellbeing and connecting communities.

This is a vital role, helping to ensure we can successfully transition into our new legal status; CIO Foundation Model Limited by Guarantee which will extend our outreach to local underserved people who have faced barriers learning to gain lifesaving/swimmings skills and having the opportunity to participate in a development and performance aquatics pathway.

The Chair of Trustees is a key role in our organisation.  Your leadership and commitment will ensure we continue to provide and extend our range of much needed services and support to our beneficiaries.
