What will you be doing?

Founded in 1968, our mission is to empower, include, and value individuals by providing support, information, and opportunities to help them lead independent and fulfilling lives. Our diverse and active board are looking for a new Chair of the Board of Trustees.

Typically the board meets formally once a quarter with the requirement for ad-hoc meetings in between depending on what we have on. You'll also have 121 meetings with our brilliant and very experienced CEO and will take an active role in the strategy and direction of the organisation.

What are we looking for?

Experience of being a Trustee or Governor.

We're interested in hearing from people from all walks of life so please do not pass the opportunity by.

Looking for down to earth, hands on and pragmatic leadership.

What difference will you make?

We offer a drop-in centre where members can socialise, participate in activities, and receive guidance on various aspects of life, including healthcare, education, housing, leisure, and benefits. Additionally, we run Impact Projects designed to help individuals develop new skills, build confidence, and make their own choices. The Hive also organizes social events, discos, and community hangouts to encourage engagement and connection among members.
